Model and entrepreneur Armando Cabral entered the US retail market.
14 years after launching his brand of leather footwear and accessories, the model opened the Armando Cabral Mercado store at 60 West 50th Street in Rockefeller Center. The store will also present Cabral’s new jewelry collection.
“When we relaunched last year, I knew we had to find a way to bring the brand’s concept to life in a personalized space,” said Cabral. “Everything I create offers timeless elegance and high-quality craftsmanship. It’s meant to be experienced in person. However, I did not want to open a shoe store because the brand is much more than footwear.”
In addition to its brand, Armando Cabral Mercado, it will feature nine emerging African designers and others already renowned who will open a rotating series of pop-ups in the store. Clothing, accessories and art brands will complement Cabral’s collection.
