Actress Rita Rocha is the protagonist of the new film by the brothers Afonso and Bernardo Rapazote. Produced by Maria & Mayer, “A Febre de Maria João” has its world premiere at the IndieLisboa Festival on May 3rd, at 7pm, in the Manoel de Oliveira room, at Cinema São Jorge.
Maria João, a character played by Rita Rocha, lives isolated with her father, who does not allow her to leave home, fearing that she will inherit the disease, caused by the wind, which killed her mother. In return, he tells you an adventure tale a day. One night, an ex-soldier who has become a wanderer following the peace, knocks on their door, looking for the woman he left before setting off for war, not knowing that she has already left.
